Overdrive mechanics ⚙️
Overdrive revolves around three primary mechanics: Reputation, Influence, and DRT rewards.
Reputation (REP)
Earn Reputation for creating and engaging with content. Accumulate REP to level-up — your accumulated REP never decreases. Up only!
Influence
Influence is a dynamic parameter based on the performance of your recent tweets.
The higher your Influence score, the bigger your REP bonuses. The more consistently you engage, the faster you increase or maintain a high Influence score.
The Influence score fluctuates between 0 and 99. Once your performance is warp-speed extraordinary, you break into Overdrive mode for unique extras.
DRT
The performance of your tweets determines the amount of DRT tokens you receive. DRT is the proof-of-work token of Overdrive.
Overdrive’s reward algorithm transparently measures your contributions and automatically awards DRT to your wallet, free for you to claim at any time.
Burn DRT to collect unique NFTs, which allow you to level-up and unlock REP & DRT bonuses.
Overdrive NFTs 🖼️
NFTs are the center of Overdrive. Overdrive NFTs allow you to
- accumulate rare collectibles
- showcase your achievements
- leverage for in-game utility
NFTs represent your level. By staking NFTs on Overdrive, you will gain bonuses. At the beginning, these bonuses will come in the form of REP and DRT multipliers. Later, they will give you the ability to select specific challenges that are only available to high-ranking NFT holders.
Some NFTs are required to advance levels; others are optional, but also more scarce and as a result unlock larger reward multipliers and gated challenges.
DRIVE token 🪙
DRIVE is the governance token that gives users voting rights in the DAO, while DRT is the utility token of Overdrive’s in-app economy.
In addition to DRT rewards, you can earn DRIVE tokens.
- The more you engage and create content, the more DRT you farm
- The more NFTs you collect (with DRT), the higher your level
- The higher your level, the larger your DRIVE rewards
Through this system, we are giving voting power in the form of DRIVE to active and committed creators. This strengthens the long-term health of Overdrive and fosters a true creator economy by aligning the interest of all parties: users, the Overdrive protocol, and the crypto projects using it to target their most engaged audiences.
